This film is not as straight forward as it first seems, it revolves around an average person who happens to be an imsomniac. He works for a car company as thier insurance agent and travels around the states making reports on car wrecks and failiers in the manufacturers designs. He meets "single serving friends" on his travels and eventually meets Tyler Derden a maker and seller of soap, they seem to hit it off.
